Greg Chambery

Administrator

Greg has worked at The Maplewood for more than four decades and loves that every day is a new adventure. He holds a degree in Business Administration and is a NYS Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

Outside of the office, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He serves as President of the Rochester Christian School Foundation and Chair of the New York State Department of Health, Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators.

Laurie Zazzara

Assistant Administrator

With over 27 years of experience in the healthcare field, Laurie oversees our business office. She loves that there is never a dull moment and enjoys her interactions with residents and their family members.

Married with two children, Laurie loves spending as much time with her family as she can. She lives and works by the motto, “Treat others as you would want to be treated.”

Lynn Pierce

Director of Admissions and Social Services

Lynn holds a Bachelor of Social Work and has over 30 years of experience in her field. She brings a high level of compassion and expertise as she guides potential residents and their families through the challenges associated with aging and increasing care needs. She meets with people to listen and assess their situation, educate about the Maplewood approach and help determine the best pathway to meet their specific needs. While at the Maplewood, she continues to work closely with residents and families, providing support and advocacy throughout their stay.

Lynn enjoys culture and the chance to experience different types of cuisine, art and music.

Lori Pellicano, RN

Director of Nursing

With an impressive tenure of more than 27 years in nursing, all dedicated to geriatric care, Lori brings a wealth of experience and a caring, professional approach to her role as the Director of Nursing. She is the 2023 recipient of the prestigious RBJ Healthcare Hero Award for Nursing. Lori's upbringing fostered a strong foundation of compassion and dedication to the elderly. She attributes these formative experiences for shaping both her values and her career. Whether formally in the workplace or through activities within the community, she invests her time and talent toward helping the elderly. Lori describes herself as someone who loves caring for residents while working alongside her nursing team and mentoring them through their professional journeys. She considers it an honor to care for our cherished seniors, striving to maintain their independence, identify what brings them joy, and ensure their comfort and dignity.

Outside of work, Lori enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She lives in the finger lakes area and especially likes outdoor activities such as scenic walks and camping.

JeanAnn Kubishin, BS, RN

Assistant Director of Nursing

JeanAnn is a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She brings us over 30 years of acute and long term care nursing experience. She has worked in long term care as an infection control nurse, a nurse educator and a nurse manager. She is passionate about caring for the elderly and actually began her career in nursing during her teenage years as a nursing assistant.

Outside of work JeanAnn enjoys painting and is very active in the Society of Decorative Painters.

Renee Ludden
MS, OTR/L, CNS

Director of Therapy and Wellness

Renee graduated from Keuka College and holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She is also a Certified Neuro Specialist. She has over 8 years of experience in her field, specializing in geriatric long term care and rehabilitation. Renee values making genuine connections with residents and utilizing an individualized treatment approach. She believes in getting to know people and incorporating their interests into their care plans to enhance quality of life. Renee and her team are dedicated to working closely with every resident to promote active living and maintain the highest possible level of mobility and independence.

Outside of work, Renee enjoys spending time with her husband, dog and family. She loves coaching softball and is an enthusiastic Buffalo Bills fan.

Gary Sacco

Director of Recreation

Gary’s upbeat and positive personality permeates The Maplewood. For more than 20 years he has been involved in helping residents live more meaningful lives through excellent programming. He loves to cycle and he lives by the motto, “Be consistently good every day.”

Michael Macaluso

Director of Dining Services

Michael’s significant culinary training combined with managerial expertise serves our Dining Services Department well. He brings Maplewood over 20 years of experience working in a variety of dining venues as well as a diverse culinary skill set. Michael focuses on building relationships with residents and family members to discover new opportunities for delivering high quality, enjoyable dining experiences.

Michael shares that his late dad is his hero and the reason he is who he is today. He describes himself as a family man first; that’s what means the most to him. Michael spends his free time training and working with dogs as a professional trainer.

Chef Michael Garcia

Executive Chef

Michael brings Maplewood over 25 years of experience in the dining and hospitality industry. He grew up in Geneseo and attended Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina, where he earned degrees in Culinary arts and Foodservice Management. Michael has worked in resorts and restaurants in Alaska, Steamboat Springs Colorado, Glacier National Park Montana and Sioux Falls South Dakota. He returned to the Rochester area 7 years ago to leave his mark on the local dining scene.

At Maplewood, Michael's culinary expertise and passion for fine dining shines through. He has a love for Italian cuisine and is skilled in crafting homemade pastas. He delights in adding special touches to elevate dishes, always aiming to create memorable dining experiences. Michael takes pride in creating diverse menus offering fresh, seasonal ingredients. With his dedication to culinary excellence, Michael delights the residents and guests at Maplewood.

When he's not busy in the kitchen, Michael enjoys unwinding on the golf course, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, and exploring new cultures through travel.

Gail Ross

Director of Environmental Services

Gail has been with The Maplewood for over 20 years and believes you should never ask anyone to do something you wouldn’t do yourself. She manages our housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and central supply departments. She loves the feeling of family here and strives to provide excellent customer service to residents, making sure they have a clean and safe environment to live in.

In her spare time, Gail enjoys going on cruises, bowling and spending time with her family.

Steve Woodley

Director of Maintenance

Steve has been overseeing maintenance at The Maplewood since 2012. He manages a group of dedicated staff, making sure the facility and grounds are always at their best. He enjoys accommodating the needs of residents and families, helping to make their stay pleasant and worryfree.

When he’s not at work, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and skyping his son who lives in Nashville. He is a avid runner who enjoys taking a run through the neighborhood and participating in local races.
