Visitation Policy

The Maplewood’s goal is to welcome resident visitors as often as possible.
This policy reflects guidance from the CDC and NY State Department of Health regarding visitation in nursing homes.

  • Maplewood  has open visitation and visitors are welcome every day. Maplewood suggests that visits occur between 9am and 7pm.
  • Any visitor who has had close contact with someone with COVID-19 or is exhibiting signs and symptoms that resemble COVID-19 should avoid visiting The Maplewood for 10 days.
  • Maplewood requests (but does not require) that all visitors be vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Based on CDC guidelines, Maplewood will post a notice at each entrance to alert visitors if conditions require masking.

*If the situation in the local community or at Maplewood changes, we may have to add some restrictions to meet CDC requirements. We will alert visitors should this occur.
