Maplewood Nursing Home has earned the distinction of being named a Best Nursing Home for both Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report. The facility attained the prestigious Best Nursing Homes status by achieving a rating of 5 out of 5 and a “High Performing” designation, the highest possible achievement. U.S. News grants the Best Nursing Home title exclusively to those homes that satisfy their assessment of the appropriate use of key services and consistent excellence in quality performance measures.
The annual Best Nursing Homes ratings assist prospective residents and their families in making informed decisions about where to receive short-term rehabilitation or long-term nursing home care. For 2025, over 15,000 nursing homes were rated, with only 19% earning the coveted “High Performing” rating in short-term rehabilitation or long-term care. Only 467 facilities earned the high performing rating in both categories, The Maplewood being one of them.
I am both honored and proud that The Maplewood has been recognized as a 2025 Best Nursing Home,” says Greg Chambery, Administrator. “This achievement is a direct reflection of our exceptional staff, whose dedication and tireless efforts ensure that we deliver the highest quality care to our residents. Their compassion and commitment to excellence allows us to maintain this standard of care. This award is a tribute to their hard work and affirms that The Maplewood consistently meets the high expectations of our residents’ families, providing the best possible care and quality of life for their loved ones.
“Since 2009, U.S. News’ annual Best Nursing Homes analysis has supported American consumers and their families in making more informed decisions about quality of care for their loved ones,” said Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News. “These facilities set the standard for quality care and should be commended for their commitment to improving the lives of their residents.”
Best Nursing Homes ratings are based on U.S. News’s in-depth analysis of publicly available data, including information that is not factored into CMS’s star ratings. Unlike the star ratings, U.S. News publishes separate evaluations of Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care. The U.S. News methodology factors in data on resident care, safety, outcomes and other aspects of quality. Both short- and long-term ratings include data on nurse staffing, use of antipsychotic drugs and success in preventing ER and hospital visits. The long-term care rating also includes measures of whether a home changed ownership and how well they were staffed on weekends. For more information, visit Best Nursing Homes.
