ROCHESTER, NY – November 19, 2025 – Maplewood Nursing Home has earned the distinction of being named a Best Nursing Home for outstanding quality in both Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care for 2026 by U.S. News & World Report. The facility once again attained the prestigious Best Nursing Homes status by achieving a rating of 5 out of 5 and a “High Performing” designation, the highest possible achievement. U.S. News grants the Best Nursing Home title exclusively to those homes that satisfy their assessment of the appropriate use of key services and consistent excellence in quality performance measures.

The annual Best Nursing Homes ratings assist prospective residents and their families in making informed decisions about where to receive short-term rehabilitation or long-term nursing home care. For 2026, over 15,000 nursing homes were rated on patient and resident outcomes, such as hospital readmission rates; staffing levels; health inspection results and other indicators of quality. U.S. News’ annual evaluation of nursing homes is highly selective, with fewer than 19% of those evaluated for 2026 earning recognition as “Best Nursing Homes”.

Being named a 2026 Best Nursing Home is a tremendous honor for all of us at The Maplewood,” says Greg Chambery, Administrator. “This achievement is a reflection of our extraordinary staff and their dedication to our residents. Their compassion, skill and unwavering commitment ensure that our residents receive the highest quality care and the best possible quality of life. This award celebrates their hard work and reinforces our promise to families that The Maplewood consistently delivers excellence in care and support for their loved ones.”

“U.S. News’ annual Best Nursing Homes ratings are designed to place the needs of patients and residents at the center of the selection process, equipping families with reliable, fact-driven metrics when making crucial care decisions,” said Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News. “We are proud to spotlight the nursing homes across the country that consistently demonstrate exceptional care quality and prioritize both the safety and long-term well-being of those they serve.”
